- What does the maternity bag consist of?
- This bag contains gown, slipper, tissue, latex gloves, sterile gloves, drop sheet.
- Does the delivery operation complications which extended the hospitalization time, cost extra expenses?
- In natural childbirth no, but in cesarean operation the expenses will increase due to the procedure.
- Is film recording allowed in operating room?
- No, it is forbidden due to the Islamic Republic regulations.
- When will the patient discharge?
- She will discharge 24 until 72 hours after delivery.
- What are identification documents needed for being hospitalized for delivery operation?
- ID card or passport or test card of both parents, presence of husband, pregnancy documents including sonography, tests and baby book.
- Does the hospital hold the childbirth preparation class?
- Yes, these classes are hold for free. To obtain more information be in contact with the ward.
- Does the painless delivery perform in this hospital?
- Yes, it is done.
- Is it possible for husband to be present at the operating room?
- Yes, it is possible under the supervision of the doctor and the ward in-charge.
- Should the patient fast before the delivery?
- In case of natural childbirth the mother can just drink water and liquid and before cesarean operation being fast for 8 hours is mandatory.
- Does the hospital have private room for delivery?
- Yes, the hospital has 3 private rooms (LDR) where the husband can be present there.
Laboratory
- What is the working time of Laboratory?
- In the morning all OPD tests are taken. At evening and night the routine tests of wards, emergency outpatients and transplanted patient are done. On holidays the transplanted patients’ tests and whom are waiting for surgery and also the wards and urgent tests will be done.
- What is the working time of test results unit?
- Test results are hand in daily after 2 PM The routine test results are ready after 24 to 72 hours normally.
- How long does it take for emergency test results?
- The emergency test results are ready 1 to 3 hours after sampling based on the test type.
Oncology
- When is the visiting time in this ward?
- Patient visits are prohibited in this ward.
- What are the required documents for hospitalizing in this ward?
- Medical documents, injectable medicines, admission sheet.
Medical record Unit
- What is the working time of medical record Unit?
- It works from 7 AM to 14 PM
- Who is eligible to receive medical records of patients?
- If the case is not legally prohibited, such as suicide and violence, the file could be given to the first-degree relative.
- Is it possible to get the original files of patient’s document?
- No, under no circumstances the original documents would hand in to anybody. In some certain cases the certified copy is allowed.
- Whom are allowed to access the patient’s record information?
- In case of having legal permission it is possible, otherwise it is not allowed.
Emergency ward
- What is the working time of emergency ward?
- The patient admission in emergency ward is done all day long.
- Is it necessary to bring anything for the hospitalized patient?
- No, the hospital will provide them.
- Does the hospital have ambulance for transferring patients?
- Yes, for transferring hospitalized patients to other hospitals the center will provide an ambulance.
Operating room
- What is the Laparoscopic Surgery?
- Laparoscopic surgery has many advantages over open surgery. The hospitalization period after laparoscopy is shorter than the traditional procedure. The average length of hospital stay after laparoscopy is 1 to 2 days and the length of hospital stay after open surgery is 5 to 7 days. In addition, since the incisions are small in laparoscopic surgery, ulcers are less likely to be infected. Patients often report less pain in laparoscopic surgery.
- For which cases the Laparoscopic Surgery could be done?
- Today, laparoscopy is used in both the pelvic and abdominal area. Laparoscopic removal of uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, and tubal ligation, infertility and endometriosis are some of these cases.
- What are the problems with laparoscopic surgery?
- The most common problem with any type of surgeries is bleeding and infection. Other complications that are less likely to occur include abdomen, intestine, bladder and blood vessels’ injury. During laparoscopic surgery, it is also possible to become an open surgery. This is mostly the case for people who have had open surgery and have many wounds. But if the physician is so skillful, it’s less likely to undergo open surgery.
- Is laparoscopic pain similar to open surgical pain?
- Laparoscopic surgery has a little pain but not painless. In open surgeries, there is often a 6 to 8 inch gap in the abdomen. But during laparoscopic surgery, 4 to 6 quarter-inch incisions are made. The required equipment enter the abdomen during surgery through these incisions.
- Is laparoscopic surgery suitable for a patient who have had an open surgery before?
- While your surgery is likely to be open surgery, our answer is yes. We believe that most patients have the chance of successful laparoscopic surgery. However, many surgeons do not perform laparoscopic surgery on a person who has previously had open surgery. Because after open surgery there is a possibility of internal visceral adhesion.
Angiography
- What is the working time of angiography unit?
- Patients’ admission would be done from 7a.m to 14p.m, but the personnel are present until the last patient is in this ward.
- Is it possible to make an appointment by telephone?
- No, admission is just possible in presence of the patient.
- Is it possible to change the fixed appointment time?
- Under physician supervision it is possible.
- Which documents are needed for performing angiography?
- Tests results, ECG, Eco, exercise tolerance test, previous cardiac operation records.
- Does the angiography unit offer services on holidays?
- No, it will be done just in case of an emergency situation.
- When the angiography result will be ready?
- It will be ready just after the operation.
Pathology
- What is the working time of pathology unit?
- Except holidays this unit would accept samples 24 hours a day.
- How long does it take for pathology result?
- Depends on the type of the sample from one week to 25 days.
- Does it cost extra expenses for pathology sampling?
- Yes, pathology unit is not covered under insurance.
- What are the required documents for patient admission?
- ID card, sonography result, CT-scan result, medical records.
Complaints Handling Unit

Imaging
- When is the working time of Imaging Unit?
- CT-scan unit works from 7:30 AM to 19:30 PM and sonography unit working time for out-patients depends on the appointment time that doctor had set. Emergency CT-scan and sonography will be done all day long.
- Is it possible to make an appointment by telephone?
- No, presence of the patient is necessary.
- For what weight CT-scan and sonography will be done?
- Sonography has no weight limit but CT-scan will be done just for the patients up to 120kg.
- Any preparation needed for Imaging?
- Fasting from 6 hours before sonography and drinking lots of water is compulsory. For CT-scan, if it is with injection the patient should fast from 6 hours before and the test results such as Cr and BUN should be available. For non-injection CT-scan there is no need for preparation.
- For what weight MRI will be done?
- It will be done just for patients under 110kg weights.
- Any preparation needed for performing MRI?
- If it is with injection, the patient should fast and bring the required tests and drugs, but some MRI tests needs a special type of preparations that will be given to the patient on the admission day.
Nutrition
- Does the hospital provide food for patient attendants?
- For children under 18 years old, the food will be provided for their attendants.
- Is it possible for foreign patients to order food other than the usual hospital meal?
- Under supervision of the nutritionist, it could be done.
Security
- Is it allowed to bring flower to the clinical wards?
- Bringing natural flower and sweat to the clinical wards are forbidden.
- What is the visiting time of the special units?
- For ICU and CCU the visiting time is from 15p.m to 16p.m and for PITU, LITU is from 15p.m to 15:15p.m.
- Is it possible to have an attendant in ward at times other than visiting time?
- Yes, it is possible in regular wards.
- Is it possible for a hospitalized patient to have an attendant at night?
- Yes, they can have one attendant.
- When is the visiting time of the hospital?
- On odd days and holidays from 15 PM to 16 PM
Endoscopy and colonoscopy
- When is the working time of colonoscopy ward?
- Saturday and Sunday from 7 AM to 20 PM
