Introduction:

The Surgical ICU is located in 3^rd floor and has 12 beds that includes 2 isolated beds.

Ward services:

This ward does bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion, pigtail and pneumocath insertion. Also does intubation, MRI, CT scan, thorax surgeries, lobectomy and post-operation intensive cares.

Personnel/Physician:

This ward’s specialists are Dr. Parviz Mardani, Dr. Nikeghbalian, Dr.MalekHosseini, Dr. Salahi, Dr. Shamsaeifar, Dr. Kazemi, Dr. Jamshidi and Dr. Nikupour. Moreover, 30 personnel work there including 26 nurses.

Ward equipment:

Including bronchoscope, portable monitor installed on stretcher, central suction, central monitor, syringe pump, infusion pump and ventilator.

Future Perspective:

Providing Echmo, performing thoracotomy inside the ICU ward and in the near future lung transplantation surgery will be done.

Ward recommendations to clients:

Since this ward is meet prevented, permanent presence of attendants are not possible. But considering the patient condition, they can have visitor once a day. The nurses will inform you about the treatment procedures as far as they know and for more, you have to consult with the respective specialist.
