Ward services:
This ward provides post-cure health care services after liver transplantation for children with liver cirrhosis diseases. These patients transfer to this ward directly just after surgical operation room. Mothers are allowed to stay with their children who have been separated from the respiratory tract.
Personnel/Physician:
This ward’s specialists are Dr.Nikeghbalian and Dr.Kourosh Kazemi who do the ward round. Also, gastroenterologists including Dr.Imanie, Dr. Honar and Dr.Ataollahi visit the patients every day and Dr.Shorafa visit the patients three days a week as an ICU man but he is informed of patients condition all day long. Moreover, 28 personnel work there including 24 nurses.
Ward equipment:
Including ventilator, vital signs monitor, syringe pump, infusion pump, DC shock, nebulizer, glucometer and wavy mattress.
Future Perspective:
Providing more high quality services to achieve the more patients’ satisfaction, preparing patient education pamphlet, increasing the number of wavy mattresses and syringe pumps, providing warmer, CRRT and EEG devices for children and cooperating with other pediatricians in different fields.
Ward recommendations to clients:
Avoid overcrowding and be careful about the health observance in the ward. The ward is responsible to give information about the patient’s condition just to their parents and just their parents are allowed to stay with them (fathers are allowed to stay with their children just in the morning shift). Due to the long recovery time in liver transplantation cases, it is advisable to keep up your patience.
