Introduction
Intestinal rehabilitation unit is located in the 6th floor. It was established in 97/5/6. It has 12 beds. The out-patient unit was also established on 98/4/29 that is for the patients who need one another day or two times a week intravenous nutrition and treatment in order to spend more time with their families and to reduce the costs.
The ward services:
The patients who have short intestine or have no food absorption will be hospitalized in this ward and intravenous nutrition and some surgical operations get started. In the case that desired results are not accomplished the patient will be prepared for transplantation. Physiotherapy will also be done for the patient if needed while hospitalization. Consulting with a consultant will also be done if needed.

A GP every 24 hours
Ward equipment
Rooms are equipped with monitoring system, cooling and heating conditioner, suction and oxygen, attendant’ bed and bath room. Each room has two beds.
The future perspective of the ward:
Improving Intestinal patient’s health conditions from all around Iran and other countries. Decreasing transplant cases with alternative treatments. Finally, having successful transplant surgeries and increasing life expectancy.
Ward recommendations to visitors (patients):
- Always have operation and treatment procedures done in other treatment centers at the time of hospitalization
- Being patient for effective treatment is also necessary because cure duration is long (at least one month).
- Financial ability and treatment cost should be taken into account due to long accommodation
