Introduction

This ward is the receptive unit of in-patient and emergency cases from Fars province, all around Iran and even foreigners. It is open to visitors 24 hours a day. It has 66 beds that 42 of them are currently active. The rest will be activated in the near future.

The ward services:

Emergency sections are:

1. Triage that is in charge of reception and determining patients’ level
2. CPER that receives patients who need revival actions
3. Sub-acute section that is responsible for receiving high-risk patients
4. Under-supervision section that receives the patients waiting for hospitalization and in need of special facilities
5. Cardio emergency that aims to receive the patients with cardiac problems and deals with their problems

Physicians

General physicians, internal physicians and surgeons are present in each work shift in the ward. In addition, experienced and peak-performance physicians are present to consult the patients in order to provide the most effective treatment in a short while.

Dr. Khatere Mirzad Jahromi is the academic head of the department. She is internal specialist.

98 personnel including nurses, assistants, anesthesiologists, secretary and service forces work in the Emergency.

Portable and non-portable monitor, portable ventilator, pump siring, eco device, DC shock

Future perspectives:

Establishing surgical emergency and trauma unit and activating all the beds in near future for welfare of the visitors.
