The bronchoscopy unit is located as a separate, independent unit in the third floor operating room and features advanced Olympus 190 bronchoscopes, EBUS device for sampling of mediastinal masses and lymph nodes, cuater device and APC for therapeutic measures. In the field of bronchoscopy, the thoracoscopic medical device is used to sampling in pleural effusion cases for unknown reasons. Diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy is performed routinely in the bronchoscopy unit three days a week. Bronchoscopy unit equipped with accurate cardiopulmonary monitoring system, anesthesia device and with the participation of anesthesiologist colleagues in completely standard conditions. Under special circumstances, patients in need of intensive care are transferred to this ward.
